Es ist überraschend, liebe Freunde, wenn wir im Korintherbrief im Kapitel 18 in den Versen 1 bis 3 lesen, dass Paulus in Korinth die Juden Aquila und Priszilla fand. Weil man sich fragen könnte, woher er von deren Existenz überhaupt wusste.

Apg 18,1 Danach verließ Paulus Athen und kam nach Korinth 2 und fand einen Juden mit Namen Aquila, aus Pontus gebürtig; der war mit seiner Frau Priszilla kürzlich aus Italien gekommen, weil Kaiser Klaudius allen Juden geboten hatte, Rom zu verlassen. Zu denen ging Paulus. 3 Und weil er das gleiche Handwerk hatte, blieb er bei ihnen und arbeitete mit ihnen; sie waren nämlich vom Beruf Zeltmacher.

Oder wanderte Paulus als Wandergeselle durch die einzelnen Städte und suchte sich in seinem Gewerbe, so bald er in einer neuen Stadt ankam, eine Arbeit in seiner Berufssparte.

Also: Kam Paulus nach Korinth und fragte, wo er denn hier einen Zeltmacher finden könne? So das man das Wandergesellentum der späteren Jahrhunderte wiederum Palus zuschreiben könnte?

Paul, the traveling journeyman!

It is surprising, dear friends, when we read in Corinthians chapter 18, verses 1 to 3, that Paul found the Jews Aquila and Priscilla in Corinth. Because one might wonder how he even knew about their existence.
