Защо всъщност никога не бихме предприели действия срещу хора, които ни обиждат, клеветят или дори крадат от нас? Някой ме попита това миналата седмица, скъпи приятели, и аз му казах: Защото Библията не казва така.

И тогава му посочих библейския пасаж в Римляни, който казва точно това:

Римляни 12:19 Не си отмъщавайте, възлюбени, но дайте път на Божия гняв; защото е писано: »Мое е отмъщението; Аз ще отплатя, казва Господ."

И наистина, ако не направят нищо срещу нападките и клеветите, след няколко години ще видят, че човекът, който ги е наранил тогава, е причинил много на себе си. Без те дори да допринасят с нещо за това.

Причината, поради която обикновено не правя нищо по отношение на атаките, освен да ги докладвам и да чакам да видя какво ще се случи след това.

Die Rache ist mein, spricht der Herr!

Warum wir eigentlich nie gegen Menschen vorgehen würden, die uns beleidigen, üble Nachrede führen oder überhaupt beklauen? Das hat mich letzte Woche einer gefragt, liebe Freunde und ich habe ihm gesagt: Weil die Bibel dies so nicht vorsieht.

Und dann habe ich ihn auf die Bibelstelle im Römerbrief verwiesen, welche genau das besagt:

Römer 12, 19 Rächt euch nicht selbst, meine Lieben, sondern gebt Raum dem Zorn Gottes; denn es steht geschrieben: »Die Rache ist mein; ich will vergelten, spricht der Herr.«

Und wirklich, tun sie selbst auf Angriffe und Verleumdungen nichts, dann sehen sie einige Jahre später, dass sich bei demjenigen, der sie damals schadete, selbst zahlreiche Schäden eingestellt haben. Ohne das sie selbst auch nur irgendetwas dazu beitragen hätten müssen.

Der Grund, warum ich normalerweise bei Angriffen überhaupt nichts unternehme, als darüber zu berichten und abwarte was dann kommt.

Vengeance is mine, says the Lord!

Why would we never actually take action against people who insult us, slander us or even steal from us? Someone asked me that last week, dear friends, and I told him: Because the Bible doesn't say so.

And then I pointed him to the Bible passage in Romans, which says exactly this:

Romans 12:19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give way to the wrath of God; for it is written: »Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord."

And really, if they don't respond to attacks and slanders, then a few years later they will see that the person who harmed them at the time has done a lot of harm themselves. Without them even having to contribute anything to it.

The reason why I usually don't do anything about attacks other than report them and wait and see what happens next.
